Q: What is ISCA?

A: The International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA) is a global platform open to organisations working within the field of sport for all, recreational sports and physical activity. Created in 1995, ISCA is today a global actor closely cooperating with its 86 full and premium member organisations, as well as almost 4000 MOVE Agents, MOVERS and ISCA users. Its 20 million individual members from 107 countries on five continents represent a diverse group of people active within youth, sport and cultural activities.

Q: Who can become an ISCA member?

A: To be part of ISCA’s community is accessible to every individual and every non for profit organization working in grassroots sport, sport for all, recreational physical activity and culture regarding their size, origin, and current capacity! We offer four levels of membership:

  • MOVERS
  • MOVE AGENTS 
  • FULL MEMBERS
  • PREMIUM MEMBERS

Q: I want to become an ISCA member. How do I apply?

A: Use the button ‘Join us’ above and fill out the registration form



Q: How much does it cost?

A: There are 4 options to choose the level of Membership:

  • MOVER (free)
  • MOVE AGENT (6 EUR monthly, 49 EUR annually)
  • FULL MEMBER (250 EUR annually upper-middle income and low income countrie(based on global index))
  • FULL MEMBER (500 EUR annually  high income countries  (based on global index))
  • PREMIUM MEMBER (1500 EUR annually)



Q: How long does my membership last for, and when does it commence?


A: Membership lasts for one year, and commences once the ISCA membership team has reviewed the application and the fee has been paid. This review period will take a maximum of 14 days from the date the application was submitted.



Q: What are the benefits of being a MOVER?

A: MOVERS get regular access to information about new trends and opportunities, access to a range of resources, expert know-how from ISCA’s network, and reduced cost of attendance at ISCA's MOVE Congress through the "early bird" fee.



Q: What are the benefits of being a MOVE AGENT?

A: MOVE AGENTS have the chance to be involved in ISCA’s most successful initiative, NowWeMOVE, with access to a range of resources and the opportunity to submit content to share on NowWeMove channels. They also get a MOVE AGENT BADGE and access to ISCA’s learning and development accelerator. They also get 30% off the fee for MOVE Congress attendance. Both organisations and individuals can become a MOVE AGENT.



Q: What are the benefits of being a FULL MEMBER?

A: The FULL MEMBER package, alongside the benefits that the first two tiers are afforded, includes the opportunity to potentially join ISCA's projects as a partner, have two online consultations, have coordination support in organising a study visit to Denmark or an ISCA event for their staff, the ability to apply to be a speaker at an ISCA event and the possibility of sharing content on ISCA's channels.

Members receive a Member's Badge and the right to be appointed as NowWeMOVE coordinators. They also get voting rights and full participation at the ISCA General Assembly, so have a chance to influence the direction ISCA moves in going forward.



Q: What are the benefits of being a PREMIUM MEMBER?

A: The PREMIUM MEMBER package offers all the benefits of the first three tiers, plus access to customised support such as four exclusive online consultations and an in-person consultancy visit or workshop from ISCA senior staff, opportunities to scale up initiatives through ISCA’s MOVE Transfer programme, expert know-how and mentoring from our broader network. Furthermore, they can submit an e-learning course to be hosted on learn.isca.org. They also get 50% off the MOVE Congress fee.



Q: What is the difference between a MOVE AGENT and a FULL MEMBER?

A: Among other benefits FULL MEMBERS have the right to vote during ISCA's general assembly, have the opportunity to be part of ISCA's projects and join ISCA's networks, MOVE Agents are integral part of ISCA and have the right to access the NowWeMOVE campaign resources, benefit from discounted MOVE Congress fee, join ISCA's learning platform.  


Q: What is the difference between a FULL MEMEBER and a FULL PREMIUM MEMBER?

A: ISCA FULL PREMIUM MEMBERS have access to customised support from ISCA’s leadership and expert teams.

They have two times more of exclusive online consultations on trending topics for the sector than FULL MEMBER, they can benefit from an annual in-person consultancy visit or workshop by an ISCA executive staff or committee member, opportunity to submit one fully developed e-learning course to be hosted and promoted on learn.isca.org, customised graphic design for NowWeMOVE campaign (20 hours per year), 50% reduced fee for the MOVE Congress and opportunity to submit news or notices to share on ISCA’s channels.



Q: How can I pay?

A: There are multiple ways to pay. When you complete registration, you will receive an email with a pay online option, but also you can pay right away in the middle of the registration process. Please prepare a credit card beforehand. You can save your credit card in order to make any future renewal process simpler.

Once you have paid the fee is non-refundable, apart from in cases where the membership application was declined, in which case you will be informed and it will be reimbursed.


Q: How does my membership renewal work?


A: Once you are confirmed as an ISCA member your membership will last for, in the majority of cases, one year. After this time you will need to renew in order to continue receiving the member benefits. 10 days before renewal is due you will receive notification and an invoice. Your organisation will automatically be signed up for automatic payments for renewal to ease the renewal process. If you wish to opt out of this and pay manually each time, you can do inside your WildApricot membership area.



Q: When will I receive an invoice?

A: After payment, you will receive an invoice directly by email.



Q: What kind of questions will I be asked during the registration process?

A: You will be asked to give your contact information and organisation’s details like your scope of activities, operations, your legal statues. 



Q: Will I be able to edit my data afterwards?

A: Yes. You will always have access to your data, invoices etc.



Q: Is mine and my organisations data protected under GDPR?

A:  Yes, ISCA has a robust GDPR policy that is in line with national and European law. You can read the ISCA GDPR policy here.
